However, you are not the only one. In fact, there are so many people that wanted to know how to spy an Android phone that developers finally came with software that allows you to do so.

Of course, there are limits on what such software programs allow you to do, otherwise, it would be illegal and some even say immoral (in fact, it’s quite controversial as it is). The biggest limit of phone spy software is that you can only install it n an Android phone that you own. Installing it on someone else’s Android phone is a crime, which makes some people believe the software itself is illegal. Actually, it’s tampering with the private property with another person that’s illegal, not the software itself.

The only exception of this rule is if you are hired by someone to install the software on his or her Android phone. While there probably won’t be any individuals hiring someone for this service, there are organizations that will. These organizations usually do so because they give Android phones to their employees for work related purposes, such as being in touch with clients, suppliers, the manufacturing plants, or the corporate office. An employer who goes through such an expense will want to keep some control of the way these phones are used and will have one of its system administrators install the software on the phones before giving them to the employees.

Another limit of the software that’s obvious is that it doesn’t make your phone an interceptor device that can allow you to tap the phone lines, e-mails, or smarphones of people around you. Yet, for some reason, this idea is quite widespread.

What the software does is keep track of the calls that the phone receives or makes, give you access of the content of the text messages that the phone receives or makes (even after being erased), and find the location of the phone on a map online.
