With the Symbian operating system being by far the most popular of mobile operating systems (almost 1 in 2 smart phones runs on Symbian), it’s no surprise that almost every single application that comes out for smart phones has a Symbian version. And for the few ones that don’t, I wonder what the programmers were thinking, shutting themselves off from the biggest share of the market.
In any case, when spy software came out, Symbian spy software was pretty much a given.
Despite what some people think, Symbian spy software is not illegal. If you have access to Internet and a credit card (or an online form of payment, such as PayPal), you can buy it and no men in black coats will come to your house to look for you.
Keep in mind that installing Symbian spy software on a phone that is not yours is illegal. This is not because of the software, but because it is illegal to tamper with the private property of someone else. Imagine if someone took your car and painted it a different color without your permission.
Anyway, let’s get on to what the software can do. First of all, you can see the content of every text message sent or received by the phone. Note that if you see the text messages of your kids, you might have to learn to read what they call “leet” which is something like this: 1t’S N0t 34SY (it’s not easy).
Then, you can also see how many calls the phone has made. This allows you to detect, among other things, calls that you don’t approve of. For example, if you install it on company phones, you can see if the employees are using the phones to make long distance calls instead of business calls.
Finally, you can see the location of the phone on Google Maps. There are many uses to it, but my favorite is using it as a tool to help locate a lost person who was carrying the phone at the time he got lost.
These are the three main features of Symbian spy software, and as you can see, there are quite a number of uses for this kind of information. From finding out if your wife is cheating on you to finding out if your employee is leaking information to the competition. It all depends on how original you are when coming up with ways to use the program.
